Thanks to a generous donor, construction of a new school in Mahabama, Sierra Leone, is underway. (Benefactors will include the children who had to move from our orphanage and school in Newtown Amputee Community after the 2017 floods.)
Grateful for Teachers
I am so grateful for these teachers in Sierra Leone, who teach all the kids from Bonnie Memorial Children’s Home as well as other students in the community.
Students in Kondie Farm, Sierra Leone
Samuel and Mariama Menyongar started this school. Mariama is the principal. All the children from BMCH attend here. The children’s home and the school are adjacent to each other, which prevents safety issues en-route to school.
BMCH Moving Right Along!
Bonnie Memorial Children’s Home: Electrical work second phase is completed. Plumbing is completed. The next phase of work is plastering, ceiling, metal door and windows and wooden doors.
New School in Sierra Leone
The floods and mudslide of 2017 destroyed Newton community, including the orphanage and partially build school Touch the Nations had built. The children, staff, furniture, pots and pans all relocated. We have support to begin constructing a new school for these children. Same people. New location.
Exciting News!
Exciting News! This month, we begin building 2 new schools–one in Sierra Leone and one in Liberia. This is the first time we’ve been able to take on 2 building projects at once. Thanks to everyone who is making this possible!
Joy and Togetherness
I love the joy and togetherness in this photo I just received from Samuel Menyongar. These women have received rice. Thanks to all who support Touch the Nations.
