Arnold is home from the hospital
Arnold, one of the Bwiza boys in Burundi, is home after 2 weeks in the hospital. He had malaria and typhoid. Very scary. Glad he’s able to take the meds at home now.
Ship Hope has reached Malta
Ship Hope to Africa, our 40 foot container of donated items for 6,000 amputees, has reached Malta, in the Mediterranean Sea, for transloading. The new estimated date of arrival is June 9, rather than the 16th.

Container at Sea
Ship Hope to Africa was loaded in Omaha, NE, on April 15, went by truck to Kansas City, went by rail to Norfolk, VA, and hit the sea on April 27. She is expected to reach Freetown on June 16.
Easter in Burundi
Bwiza boys and girls in Burundi celebrated heartily on Easter by slaughtering a rooster (on their own) and eating many special foods they do not typically get. Everyone went to bed joyful and deeply satisfied.
