Samuel and Mariama Menyongar started this school. Mariama is the principal. All the children from BMCH attend here. The children’s home and the school are adjacent to each other, which prevents safety issues en-route to school.
The floods and mudslide of 2017 destroyed Newton community, including the orphanage and partially build school Touch the Nations had built. The children, staff, furniture, pots and pans all relocated. We have support to begin constructing a new school for these children. Same people. New location.
Christmas funds were sent early to all 4 orphanages Touch the Nations supports, to allow ample time for shopping with covid restrictions, inflation and scarcity. Children and staff will celebrate with a feast, and all kids will receive a new outfit and new shoes.
Thanks to amazing response from supporters, we were able to provide THREE milk cows to replace the one lost at Joseph House children’s home in Ethiopia. Thank you!
